Museum yang diresmikan oleh Presidean Indonesia ke-5, Megawati Sukarno Putri, pada tanggal 20 Oktober 2000 dengan nama “Galeri Batik Kuno Danar Hadi” (sekarang berubah nama menjadi Museum Batik Danar Hadi) ini terletak di Jalan Slamet Riyadi 261, Solo, Indonesia.

Batik sudah berkembang di Indonesia sejak berabad-abad silam. Di tanah Jawa batik berkembang menjadi media ekspresi yang mengakar pada mitologi, filosofi, dan lambang dari siklus kehidupan. Batik Belanda merebak tahun 1840 dan mencapai puncak pada 1890-1910, hasil rintisan orang-orang Belanda/Eropa di kawasan pesisir utara Jawa. Warna dan ragam motifnya yang khas menghadirkan gaya individual unik dan signifikan. Batik Cina yang datang kemudian, kaya dengan ornamen oriental (ular, singa, naga, dan burung phonix) dalam warna cerah dan pastel dari sentra-sentra produksi di Pekalongan, Cirebon, Kudus, dan Demak. Untuk daerah pemasaran Surakarta dan Yogyakarta formatnya adalah Batik Dua Negri dan Batik Tiga Negri.

Berlanjut ke zaman Jepang menghasilkan Batik Jawa Hokokai, Motif dan warna mencerminkan pengaruh kuat budaya Jepang, misalnya bunga-bunga cerah di atas latar tradisional parang atau lereng. Zaman kemerdekaan menghasilkan Batik Indonesia, tuangan motif tradisional dengan isen (isian) yang dimodifikasi dan diselesaikan dengan teknik batik pesisiran. Banyak warna selain soga klasik dan motif-motif baru menghadirkan epigon Batik Modern. Batik Sudagaran muncul di akhir abad XIX, ornamennya datang dari batik klasik kraton, namun tata letak dan formatnya digubah sesuai selera para saudagar batik. Misal, motif tambal dengan modifikasi geometris, parang dengan ornamen keong diisi motif nitik.

SenyumKita.com adalah sebuah media online yang dikelola oleh Senyum Community, sebuah komunitas sosial yang bergarak pada bidang pendidikan & pemberdayaan generasi muda. Kegiatan yang paling rutin dilakukan oleh Senyum Community adalah melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan ke panti asuhan yang berada di wilayaha Yogyakarta.

Komunitas ini sekarang sudah menginjak tahun ke-2 dalam perjalanannya. Selama perjalanan hampir 2 tahun ini ada berbagai dinamika yang terjadi di komunitas ini, salah satunya dalam pengembangan media untuk komunitas.

Sebelum adanya website SenyumKita.com dalam format blog yang sekarang ini, tim media Senyum Community memiliki rencana untuk membuat media dalam format cetak berbentuk majalah. Namun singkat cerita karena tidak adanya dana untuk itu maka jalan keluar yang diambil saat itu adalah merubah majalah menjadi e-magazine dalam format .pdf yang dikirimkan via email langsung ke subcriber milling list Senyum Community saat itu.

Di saat itu juga, Senyum Community memiliki halaman blog di blogspot.com dengan domain SenyumKita.com dan Facebook Group yang saat itu menarik lebih dari 2000 orang untuk join dalam group tersebut.

Namun sayangnya saat itu jumlah statistik orang yang mengunduh e-magazine Senyum Community tidaklah sebanyak jumlah member yang ada di Facebook Group. Nah di sini timbullah rasa gregetan karena sudah kerja keras membuat konte/ artikel tapi audience yang berhasil di dapat belum sesuai dengan yang diharapkan.

Tim media Senyum Community pun berembuk kembali soal isu ini, dan menyepakati untuk mencoba beralih ke media online atau mulai mencoba menggunakan website.

Kalau dulu, ngeblog pake domain .com untuk coba-coba belajar SEO (Search Engine Optimization), nah sekarang aktifitas ngeblog yang saya lakukan ini akan lebih banyak untuk belajar bikin konten. Sesuai pepatah di dalam dunia persaingan SEO kalau konten adalah Raja, jadi harapannya kembali ngeblog lewat blog ini untuk mengasah kemampuan yang nantinya digunakan untuk menciptakan raja-raja baru di setiap niche market yang akan digarap.

Alasan yang lainnya karena domain yang dulu pake .com itu kontennya kehilangan arah dalam pengembangannya. Karena cuma buat latihan beberapa tips dan trick SEO bikin niche atau topik blog nya nyampur aduk gak karuan dan kalau dimonetasi dapetnya juga nggak seberapa (mending waktunya buat fokus ke web affiliate).

Nah kalau blog ini sih juga mungkin nggak tahu arah niche nya akan ke mana, tapi karena tidak berbayar jadi saya nggak usah pusing mikirin ini blog kudu profitable atau nggak … yang penting bisa ngeblog lagi, belajar nulis lagi.

Text within graphics: To ensure text is read uniformly by different browsers, design agencies often put text within a graphic. It looks great, however, a spider cannot read what text is in a graphic and simply moves on.

Web page title: This is what you see written in the title bar of the browser. This should explain what the purpose of your site or your page is and include keywords, but always in such a way that makes sense to a user who reads it.

Meta tags: The tags are not visible to users but they explain what the content of the page is. Keywords should be placed in here as they are easily searchable by spiders.

Homepage content: Your homepage is searched by the spiders and you should ensure that your keywords appear near the top header. They should also be sprinkled throughout the homepage.

Keyword density: Each page should have a minimum of 250 words; your keywords should account for 2 – 8% of the word on the page. That means they should appear between 4 and 16 times. To help you achieve both objectives you should focus on a couple of keywords for each page rather than a large number.


3. Links:
Inbound links: your site might be designed in a way that is easily searchable by spiders and your content might be sprinkled with keywords, but you need to have other sites linking to you in order to achieve success. Ensure you know how many other websites are linking into your site and set a goal for increasing that figure.
